The Principal Secretary (PS) to the State Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development, Susan Auma Mang’eni, is in India for the three-day India Africa Business Conclave organized by the Confederation of Indian Industries.
In an announcement made on her official X (formerly Twitter) account seen by Sacco Review, Mang’eni said that she aims to interact and explore partnerships with leading Indian industries in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, finance, MSMEs, technology, agriculture and global value chains.
“India is an MSME-driven economy with appropriate technology and machinery for MSMEs in the manufacturing sector hence presenting massive opportunities for partnership with Kenyan MSMEs to build their capabilities to spur the growth of our manufacturing sector,” she wrote.

The PS is expected to make a presentation titled ‘Promoting Quality Standards for Achieving High Value Manufacturing Excellency in Africa’.
She will also host bilateral engagements on the side-lines with targeted industrial sectorial leaders to explore partnership opportunities on common user manufacturing facilities to enable the country’s MSMEs gain entry into the manufacturing sector and power up the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Kenya is in attendance among 40 other African countries.
