- Nairobi International Trade Fair returns with focus on climate-smart agriculture
- Hundreds of exhibitors and international participants expected at Jamhuri Park
- Businesses will showcase products, innovations and agricultural technologies
The Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) will host the 2026 Nairobi International Trade Fair from September 28 to October 4 at the Jamhuri Park Showground, with this year’s edition placing renewed focus on climate-smart agriculture, trade and sustainable economic growth.
Held under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth,” the seven-day event will bring together businesses, farmers, manufacturers, innovators and other players across the agricultural and trade sectors.
According to the event organisers, activities will include trade and SME exhibitions, farm machinery and mechanisation displays, livestock, farm and dairy demonstrations, as well as entertainment and family activities.
The 2026 fair is also expected to have a stronger international outlook. More than 25 countries are expected to participate, including Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, France, Belgium, India, Israel, Indonesia, Turkey, the Netherlands, China, Japan, Qatar, Ethiopia and Egypt.

More than 500 exhibitors are expected at the event, covering sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, technology, education, hospitality, construction, real estate, textiles and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The fair is increasingly being positioned not only as an exhibition but also as a platform where businesses can connect with investors, customers and international markets.
Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency (KEPROBA) chief executive Floice Mukabana has said the event provides an opportunity for Kenyan businesses to strengthen their presence in international markets and promote locally made products.
ASK Chief Executive Officer Batram Muthoka said the organisation is also working to modernise the Jamhuri Park Showground as part of its 2025–2029 strategic plan, including improvements to roads, water infrastructure and exhibition facilities.
With the 2026 edition expected to attract participants from more than 25 countries, organisers are seeking to deepen the fair’s role in connecting Kenyan enterprises to regional and global markets while promoting agricultural innovation and climate-smart practices.
