A total of Sh67 million has been disbursed to 54 Cooperative societies in Busia County, Communication Officer at the County Government, Reuben Olita has said.
He said the county had restructured the loans, a move which has benefited Cooperatives. “There are 54 Cooperative societies in the county that need financial
support”, said Olita.
The Communication Officer said over 10,000 Cooperative leaders and traders have been trained and empowered in financial literacy, entrepreneurship and leadership
to keep in touch with global standards and practices.
