NyandaruaGovernor Francis Kimemia has urged the County Assembly to legislate on proposed Nyandarua County Co-operatives Bill which seeks to set up a fund to reinvigorate co-operatives in the county.
The Governor said some of the existing legislation would be amended to enhance service delivery to residents and empower farmers and other agriculture-oriented traders economically.
“We plan a Trade and Markets bill to boost local businesses operated by youths in the county to enhance internal trade and revenue growth and collection,” Kimemia noted.
“The Bill seeks to regulate trade and markets through regularizing operations, setting tariffs and service charter,” he added. He said Investment Policy and Investment Act would enhance industrialization, trade and enterprises in the county.
