The Garissa County Executive of Trade Tourism and Gender, Ugas Adow Jubat has called on all residents to be wary of fake Sacco’s which he said have set base in the county.
He advised residents to carry out extensive research about any Sacco before investing their money in them.
Jubat said some northeasterners are using the name Saccos to attract loyalty of savers with the intention of duping them.
He called on the Commissioner of Co-operative Development Mary Mungai and other the county and national officials to fish out people misusing the name of Saccos.
