Migori County Government has pledged to support the cooperative movements in the region.
Speaking during Ushirika Day celebrations at Migori Primary School, the County’s Lands and Cooperatives Minister, Elizabeth Ochae said the local Government is poised to empower Cooperatives financially to boost the county’s economy.
Chairman of Rongo Sub-county Cooperative Society, Peter Okoth said that growth can only be achieved through Saccos and pleaded with the locals to join the Cooperative societies and take loans to develop themselves.
