Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has revealed that his administration has initiated the digitalization of the dairy sector in preparation for the launch of the Nandi Cooperative Creameries (KCC).

Speaking moments after a consultative meeting with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other stakeholders, the governor stated that the move is aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in the industry.

He emphasized on the importance of streamlining the milk collection process from farmers to processing units and ultimately to the market.

“Digitalization will enhance the governance of the entire value chain and address any discrepancies that may arise,” he said, further highlighting that this process will empower farmers with transparency, ensure smooth operations and enable effective oversight by management.

The governor also promised to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in revolutionizing the dairy value chain.
