Hazina DT Sacco has notified members of an Education Day which will be held on December 1 at Tebeboo Hall, ACK Kajiado Church starting at 8:00 am.
“We urge all members to attend and not miss out on this valuable opportunity,” a post from their social media page read.
Education, Training and Information is one of the seven cooperative principles adopted by the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) and is applicable to all cooperative enterprises.
This principle emphasizes the importance of providing education and training to members, elected representatives, managers and employees. By doing so, they can actively contribute to the growth and development of their cooperative.
During these training sessions, members are equipped with knowledge on various issues that impact their daily lives.
The Sacco aims to train its members so that they can effectively communicate the nature and benefits of cooperation to the general public, especially the youth and opinion leaders.
Hazina DT Sacco believes that informed members are the foundation of a strong cooperative society, and their contributions add significant value to both themselves and also the Sacco.
With an asset base of Ksh12.76 billion, Hazina DT Sacco draws its members from the Ministry of Finance and Planning, boasting of over 19,000 members.
