Horticultural Sacco share capital grows

The Chairman of the Kitui Horticultural Farmers Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited David Matheka has announced that the society’s share capital stands at Sh3.5 million.
He said the society plans to raise the share capital to Sh10 million by the year 2020 and increase its membership to 500.
Matheka said currently the society has a total of 172 members drawn from Kitui Central, Mutitu, Katulani, Nzambani, Matinyani, Kitui West, Mutomo, Ikutha, Kisasi and Lower Yatta Districts of Kitui County.
He was speaking to the society’s members during their society’s 6th annual general meeting held at the Kitui Parkside Villa Hotel in Kitui Town recently.
Matheka also announced that the sacco won two awards as the most compliant marketing and the best managed society in Kitui County during the last year’s International Cooperatives Day celebrations.
