Youths have been urged to vie for elective posts in the 2017 General Election to boost their social, economic and political empowerment. The appeal was made by Kabaazi Youth Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (Sacco) Chairman, James Waigi Maina while declaring his candidature for Subukia Ward seat in Subukia Sub-County in Nakuru County. Waigi, 20, urged youths not expect to be given handouts.He noted with concern that the older generation has taken youth for granted for a long time. He lauded President Uhuru Kenyatta for initiating NationalYouth empowerment programme.
