Total assets held by Kenya Bankers Sacco increased from Sh6.3 billion in 2015 to Sh6.7 billion at the close of financial year ended 31st December, 2016. According to the Sacco Society Regulatory Authority (SASRA) Supervision Report, 2016, the sacco ranks 13th among largest deposit-taking sacco across the country in balance sheet size.
During the same period, deposits at the sacco rose from Sh4.7 billion to Sh5 billion, representing a 7.8 per cent rise.
It was registered in 1975 to cater for the needs of those in the banking profession. The society has now expanded drawing membership from other financial institutions and informal organizations.
Registered in 1975, it boasts of eight branches and three sub-branches across Kenya.
One of its major projects is a residential estate known as Shaba Village.
