Protect businesses from political risks, State urged

The business community has called on the Government to safeguard their investments from political upheavals.
Speaking to the press in Thika town recently, Urithi Housing Society Chairman, Samuel Maina said the recent political demonstrations had caused uncertainty, thereby seriously affecting their businesses.
“The Government should secure our businesses from political upheavals and assure the business community of their investments’ security,” he appealed.
Meanwhile, PSV Sacco owners have called for enhanced security to protect their vehicles during demonstrations.
The Mt. Kenya region Public Service Vehicles Secretariat called on the Government to enhance security for their vehicles and customers during demonstrations.
Secretariat Chairperson, James Kahiro who was speaking to journalists in Nyeri town recently, said that they would not want to suffer more losses this time due to disquiet in politics. He urged the Ministry of Interior to secure their fleets and passengers.
