Qwetu Sacco chairman Alfred Mlowa has urged members in the Coast region to embrace a saving culture for better returns in future.
Speaking during the Tabasamu Sacco Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Diani Forest Lodge, Ukunda in Kwale, Mlolwa said regular savings enables members to get bigger loans.
Big transactions, he said will enable them accomplish their development projects ion a more efficient and effective way.
“Without you the Saccos could not be called Saccos,” Mlowa who is also KUSCCO regional director told members.
He challenged delegates to be more aggressive and recruit more new members to join their Saccos and boost capital base for them to operate effectively.
Mlolwa also lauded Tabasamu Sacco for the great efforts which have made them achieve steady growth.
He asked Saccos in Kwale County to emulate Tabasamu Sacco which is a vibrant and among best performing Saccos in the Coast region.
