Members of Ol Kalou-basedTower Sacco Society Limited will put up a Sh 75 million four-storeyed office complex to serve as the Society’s head offices.
A feasibility study conducted by the Society’s Board of Directors found that the Sacco has outgrown its current office block and is in need of more space as well as a new image.
The building project is estimated to take one year and comes at a time when Tower Sacco has embarked on a transformation agenda to ensure effective and efficient quality service delivery to its members.
When completed, the new headquarters is expected to greatly reduce the Sacco’s operating expenses including rent, security, land rates and licenses and human resources among others.
Addressing members during a recent Special General Meeting held at Ol-Kalou Catholic grounds, Tower Sacco Chairman John Gitundu said the Society will adopt new strategies in offering sustainable services to members.
Tower Sacco has also developed an E-loan product, which members can access through the mobile phone. This is in an addition to a range of already existing loan products.
Tower Sacco recruited 10,230 new members in the last eight months of this year to reach a total membership of over 55,400 as at 31st August 2017.
