Gusii Youth Bunge Sacco recently held a colourful Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) to celebrate its tremendous growth and performance last year.
Speaking during the event held at Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) in Kisii town, Sacco chairman Asha Moranya noted that the Sacco’s share capital increased by Ksh1,184,729 from Ksh7,026,031 in 2021 to Ksh8,210,760 as at December 31, 2022.
During the period under review, Sacco membership grew by 768 members up from 6,040 to 6,808.
The Sacco disbursed Ksh400,000 as dividends to members based on a surplus on members’ share capital and Ksh700,000 as interest on members’ deposits.
“I would like to encourage our members to continue being the Sacco’s ambassadors by educating prospective members on the benefits of joining the Sacco,” stated Moranya.
The youth-led financial institution registered in September 2012 has grown to be one of the most vibrant Saccos managed by young people.
