Yetu Sacco Society has opened a new branch in Chuka town, Tharaka Nithi County in a bid to reach out to more members.
Sacco Chairman Mark Gitonga assured members that their money is safe and advised them to apply for loans, stressing that the frequency of getting the loan will be determined by the rate of repayment.
Sacco CEO Dennis Kirimi said the society now has a membership of 63,000.
Chuka Igambang’ombe MP Patrick Munene said the opening of a new branch is a sign of the growth of the town and challenged the Sacco board of management to give priority to the locals when employing new staff.
South Imenti MP Shadrack Mwiti, who is a corporate member of the Sacco, assured members that their savings are in safe hands and won’t be lost.
