The loan offers a repayment period of up to 72 months at an interest rate of 1.08% per month on a reducing balance. Loan applications are processed within 24 working hours, subject to meeting the required conditions.

In addition, the SACCO facilitates loan buy-offs for members seeking to transfer expensive loans from other institutions, as well as quick loan top-ups within the same turnaround time.
With a membership base exceeding 12,000 individuals across all 47 counties, the SACCO serves a diverse clientele that includes government employees, private sector workers, and entrepreneurs.
Joining the SACCO requires a copy of a national ID, a KRA PIN, and a registration fee of KSh 1,000. Members benefit from access to affordable credit, competitive dividends on deposits, and complimentary financial advisory services.
To enhance convenience, members can access banking services via mobile platforms, including a USSD code (*645#) and a dedicated mobile app.
These platforms enable users to withdraw funds to M-Pesa, deposit into FOSA accounts, transfer money to other bank accounts within Kenya, and conduct general remittances. Additionally, members can access their funds nationwide using a SACCO Link VISA card.

The SACCO requires a minimum share capital of KSh 25,000, which members can pay in a lump sum or gradually through monthly contributions. Deposits also earn competitive interest rates, offering members a solid return on investment.
Founded on April 24, 1969, Shirika DT Sacco originally served employees from the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs. Over the years, its membership base has expanded to include individuals from various government ministries, parastatals, private organizations, and other sectors of the economy.
