Kajiado West residents have been urged to join Saccos in order to save for a better future.
Speaking during Serian Sacco Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Olooltepesi Picnic Site, Keekonyokie Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), George Sunkunya (pictured) said the only sure way of saving in a developing nation is through Saccos.
Citing the phenomenal growth of Serian Sacco, the MCA who spoke during the inauguration of Kiserian Matatu stage said the society is one of the Kajiado County Saccos that have changed many people’s lives.
“Apart from providing transport services to our people, the Sacco has been helping members toaccess loans and many have bought motorbikes, matatus and alsoset up other businesses,” said Sunkunya who is also eyeing Kajiado West parliamentary seat.
Keekonyokie Ward MCA hopeful, Peter Munene alias Kanene who also attended the function thanked Serian Sacco for assisting Kajiado County residents. He appealed the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) to reduce the cost of clearance for job seekers from the current
