Meru County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Trade, Tourism and Cooperatives Rev. Carol Kaberia has commended members of Mekika Dairy Sacco for embracing the cooperative movement as a pathway to economic empowerment.
She spoke during a celebration organised by Kibirichia Member of County Assembly (MCA) Jacob Mwirigi, which brought together members of Mekika Dairy Sacco and other cooperative societies to mark key milestones achieved over the years.
A major highlight of the event was the launch of the Sacco’s newly acquired vehicle, an investment expected to enhance service delivery, improve transportation, strengthen market access for farmers and boost operational efficiency.
On behalf of Governor Isaac Mutuma M’Ethingia, CECM Kaberia presented support to aid the continued growth of Mekika Dairy Sacco.
She reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to supporting and strengthening cooperative societies across Meru County.
