- Entrepreneurs and financiers will explore new opportunities.
- A permanent Nakuru chapter will also be launched.
The Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs Development and the Nakuru County Government will host the seventh edition of MSMEs Connect on September 4, 2026, launching the forum’s Nakuru County chapter for entrepreneurs and financiers.
The forum will take place at the Agricultural Training Centre, Soilo, in Nakuru City. It brings together entrepreneurs, national and county government officials, financial institutions, development partners, and business support organisations.
Since its inception, MSMEs Connect has worked to improve how Kenya’s micro, small and medium enterprises access finance, markets, and strategic partnerships. This edition marks the first time the forum has been held in Nakuru, which was elevated to city status in December 2021 and is now one of Kenya’s fastest growing urban economies.

Organisers describe Nakuru as a cosmopolitan hub spanning agribusiness, trade, tourism, and technology. The event’s theme, “One City, Endless Enterprise: Harnessing Nakuru’s Diversity for Inclusive MSME Growth,” reflects that mix of sectors.
Beyond the one day forum, the event will officially launch MSMEs Connect Nakuru County. This is intended as an ongoing structure through which entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the region can continue collaborating after the September gathering.
The push comes as national and county governments continue to position MSME support as a pillar of local economic development, alongside cooperative and agribusiness initiatives already active in the region.
