The Chairman of Central Rift Boda boda Association, Stanley Kitetu has urged operators in the country to join the co-operative movement and improve their living standards.
Kitetu who leads over 20, 000 members said the co-operative movement had transformed the lives of many Kenyans and boda boda operators should not be left behind.
The chairman was speaking during an invitation of Association members by Urithi Housing Co-operative Society Limited to acquaint themselves with Urithi products and services
He said majority of members had been impressed by Urithi investment strategy, products and services and had joined the society in large numbers.
He hailed Urithi fraternity led by Chairman Samuel Maina for pledging to give them soft loans to buy land and put up houses.
Kitetu thanked Urithi for providing his members with fuel, reflector jackets and umbrellas.
He said this was a good will gesture. Urithi Chairman Samuel Maina ,who was flanked by Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Muthuri, Vice Chairman John Gachoka and Urithi Premier Sacco Chairman Pius Thuku, said that the society was not a profit making organization.
