ACCOSCA Academy hold inclusive citizens program to uplift women in Sacco sector

The African Confederation of Co-operative Savings and Credit Association (ACCOSCA) Academy has held inclusive  citizens program to uplift women and also foster inclusive societies that thrive on diversity and equal opportunity.

The seven days forum held in Nairobi, Kenya was attended by cooperative women leaders from 8 countries in Africa.

Under Africa Co-operative Development Foundation (ACDF) the Inclusive Citizens Women of Influence Program is accelerating gender equality in Africa to unlock the continent’s full potential and build a more inclusive society.

The leaders were taken through concept of becoming a true trailblazer, leading with purpose, vision, and the enduring belief that empowered communities are the foundation of a thriving continent.

The Inclusive Citizens Women of Influence Class of June 2025 graduating cohort got opportunity to interact and engage with two women of leaders MP Millie Odhiambo Mabona who is the Minority Whip in the National Assembly of Kenya and Hon. Lady Justice Tabitha Ouya Wanyama, Judge at the Court of Appeal of Kenya.

In the engagement, the two trailblazers inspired the participants to build influence, lead with empathy, and share knowledge that multiplies opportunity.

ACCOSCA  also hosted Solomon Atsiaya (AADE, I-CUDE) – CEO of the Kenya National Police DT SACCO, Dr. Gamaliel Hassan CEO of Stima Sacco Society Limited and Kenneth Odhiambo – CEO of Mwalimu National.

The Sacco leaders took the participants through various inclusivity initiatives aimed at bridging the gender disparity gap in Africa.

Other leaders who were also present include Pernilla Poole Country Director of German Sparkassenstiftung Eastern Africa Kenya, Evelyn Olunja, CEO of Kenya Diaspora Sacco and Florence Obura a Training Consultant.
