Alex Chamwada, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chams Media, a communication consultancy firm specializing in content creation, has expressed pride for contributing to the growth of the cooperative movement.
The media personality, who worked with several national TV stations before debuting his renowned programme – ‘Daring Abroad’ – made the remarks while celebrating the firm’s 10th anniversary.
“As we celebrate 10 years of transforming lives, we take pride in contributing to the growth of the cooperative movement in Kenya by highlighting success stories in the sector,” a message published in one of the dailies read.
Chamwada said that through a partnership with the Co-operative Bank of Kenya, they showcased the life-transforming journeys of over 60 co-operatives in Kenya and abroad.
The veteran journalist said that their story-telling has contributed to increased confidence in the sector.
“We have shown that cooperatives are important investment channels for Kenyans living not only in Kenya but also abroad. We take this opportunity to congratulate cooperative banks and cooperative movement stakeholders at large for believing in the cooperative story,” he said.
Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Cooperatives and MSMEs Development, Simon Chelugui, said that Chams Media has been a great partner to his Ministry, especially in the last year, when the company intensified the production and dissemination of very informative and inspiring stories touching on cooperatives, Saccos, and SMEs.
“Chams Media gave 100 Saccos across the country a platform to showcase their products and services last year. Hitting 10 years of quality production is no mean achievement, and I am glad to join Chams Media today in celebrating this milestone,” he said.
