Cashew nut farmers in Kaloleni Sub-county in Kilifi have been asked to cooperate fully and form Saccos and invest heavily to uplift their living standards.

Speaking to Sacco Review in Mariakani town recently, Kaloleni Sub-county Cooperative Officer, Amos Kenga lamented that many cashew farmers in the area have not formed Saccos, adding that there is need therefore to form them now for the better future.

He noted that many people in the country have so far managed to accomplish their personal development projects through taking loans from their respective Saccos.

“Joining Saccos is the only direction towards achieving stability and prosperity,” said Kenga.

At the same time, he asked the sub county residents to cooperate fully and join Saccos in large numbers and invest heavily to enable them to get bigger loans at the end of the transaction period to implement their personal development projects.

This, he observed joining Saccos would enable the sub county residents to uplift their living standards, hence accomplish their development projects more efficiently and effectively.
