Kilifi County Government will strive to ensure that it creates an enabling environment for the growth of co-operatives.
The County Executive Committee Member in charge of Trade, Tourism and Co-operative Development Nahida Mohamed said the county will soon come up with policies on co-operative development.
She said the legislation and policies will co-ordinate activities of co-operative societies to spur growth.
In a speech read on her behalf by Kilifi County Co-operative Commissioner Mary Mkare, during Imarika Sacco Annual Delegates Meeting (ADM) Mohamed urged Saccos in the county to offer qualityservices to members.
She advised Saccos in the region to exercise good governance and innovation in order to post positive results.
