The Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Nyeri County Branch Manager Amos Kirui has affirmed that the county is keen to successfully host the upcoming 56th Central Kenya ASK Show.
Speaking yesterday during the inspection of Kabiruini Showgrounds where the event will be held, Kirui revealed that all preparations were done and expressed optimism that that the event, which will run from September 11-14, 2024, will attract a significant number of exhibitors.
“Last year, the show attracted over 110 exhibitors among them financial organizations, institutions of higher learning, health and hospitality institutions. So far about 80 exhibitors under different categories have already secured slots ahead of the September 10 deadline and we expect the number to increase. We are targeting 170,” he said.
He said that exhibitors will range from agriculture, livestock, fisheries, trade and manufacturing sectors as well as community-based organizations, youth enterprises and women-based groups.
Kirui added that the show will also give participants a chance to interact with new knowledge and technological advancements in the field of agriculture and trade.
This year’s theme will be, ‘Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.’
