In a move aimed at ensuring residents have access to cheap loans, the County Government of Nyandarua says it is in the process of setting up co-operatives revolving fund.
According to trade and cooperative executive Muthoni Wamuya, 130 saccos will form a union called Nyandarua Co-operative Union, to manage the funds and spearhead co-operative movement in the area.
The department has established consultations and public participation forum, where members are trained on management of Saccos and the need to have an umbrella body to push for the societies’ interests.
