Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies (Saccos) have been urged to embrace Information Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance efficiency in service delivery.
Qwetu Sacco Chairman, Alfred Mlolwa, expressed concern that many Saccos in the country have failed to deliver quality services to members due to lack of ICT skills.
He, however, emphasised the importance of investment in ICT, noting that the move would enable Saccos to gain comparative and competitive advantage in the global market.
Mr Mlolwa who is also the Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO) Director in Coast and North Eastern regions spoke during the official closing ceremony of Kenya Association of Front Office Services Authority (KAFOSA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Turtle Bay Hotel in Watamu town recently.
