The former Imarika Sacco chairman has urged Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (Saccos) to embrace good governance and innovation.
According to him, such a practice will make them competitive and attract new members.
Mr. Richard Dzombo (pictured) was speaking during Qwetu Sacco Annual Delegates Meeting in Taita Taveta County.
Dzombo said, “One cannot underestimate the importance of good governance, which is the foundation for sustainable business”.
He appealed to Saccos in coast region to continue to explore opportunities with others so as to increase the Socio-Economic benefits of their members.
He also urged saccos to embrace Information Communication and Technology (ICT) in order to be competitive.
“You need to be very innovative in your service delivery in order to compete. And one way of doing that is to embrace ICT,” he advised.
