Stima Sacco has opened a new branch in Embu town.
Sacco’s National Chairman Ken Tarus said they also plan to establish an insurance agency. This is to tap into growing insurance market share.
“The Sacco will also re-focus on the energy and allied sectors to grow the loan book,” said Tarus.
Stima Sacco also plans to improve access to information and become more competitive.
Tarus called on Embu residents to join the Sacco since it offered all the services they may require.
In a speech read on his behalf by Deputy Governor David Kariuki, Governor Martin Wambora urged county co-operatives to align their activities to support the governments’ Big Four Agenda.
He said his government fully supports the national development agenda.
Embu co-operative sector is one of the best in the country. The county has some of the best performing societies while several national Saccos have opened branches in the county.
