Uasin Gishu County is stepping up efforts to strengthen cooperative societies by forging strategic alliances with agribusiness firms and development partners.
One such partnership is taking shape between Kuona Mbele Cooperative Society and agriBora, a leading player in agricultural innovation.
The cooperative is set to lease its store to agriBora, with the revenue earmarked for renovating and completing its warehouse, this upgrade is expected to improve service delivery to members.
The collaboration will introduce agriGHALA, agriBora’s grain management platform, to local farmers. The system offers secure storage, streamlined grain trade, and better market access, helping reduce post-harvest losses and cushion farmers against price volatility.
