Umoja Wendani Sacco fraternity is in mourning following the demise of Sacco Chairman Elder Daniel Thige Wambugu.
The deceased will be laid to rest on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his home in Chorong’i village, Nyeri Central sub county, Nyeri County.
The late left behind a rich legacy of driving the community based Sacco to great financial growth.
For the year ending December 2021, the Society’s assets stood at Ksh1.74 billion, its loan book at Ksh1.42 billion, total deposit grew to Ksh1.42 billion as total income stood at Ksh0.18billion.
Umoja Wendani Sacco has carved a special niche in providing focused financial services and solutions to a wide range of clients ranging from; Small and Medium Enterprises, Corporate organizations as well as learning and religious institutions.
The Sacco’s membership currently stands at 107, 100, making it one of the most recognised and loved Saccos in the country.
