Waumini Sacoo advertises vacancy for Credit Manager

Waumini Sacco is currently seeking to fill the position of Credit Manager. The credit manager will report to Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for the growth of the Society’s loan portfolio while ensuring quality and health loan book is maintained.

The successful candidate will oversee the expansion of the Society’s loan portfolio, while also ensuring the maintenance of a high-quality and healthy loan book.

The candidate will also manage loan disbursements, risk assessment, and overall portfolio performance. Balancing growth with risk management is essential for maintaining the financial health of the organisation.

Any candidate willing should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, banking, credit management or any other related field, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or any other related professional qualification and should have knowledge of credit and lending principles.

The ideal candidate should also hold credit management qualifications (such as Certified Credit Professional), maintain active membership in a professional organization, and possess at least seven years of relevant experience, including a minimum of three years in a senior role within a financial institution or cooperative sector.

He or she should have a good understanding of the regulatory framework within the Sacco sector.
