Migori County Youth Bunge Sacco chairman Joseph Nyapete has appealed to the youth to join Saccos to secure affordable loans.
Nyapete, who was speaking during the launch of “Kuza Kazi” initiative by Coca-Cola and USAID at Kababu Technical College, urged youths to embrace self-employment.
Nyapete told off youths waiting for white collar jobs to venture into businesses with the skills they have acquired in schools and colleges.
“Youths should stop complaining of unemployment yet Saccos are available to offer them financial support,” he said.
County Cooperatives Commissioner Abraham Amugune also encouraged youths to be responsible and create jobs for themselves by initiating businesses for income generation.
Amugune urged members belonging to various Saccos in the county to be responsible and embrace timely repayment of loans.
