Traders in Kilifi county have been advised to apply for Wezesha Fund ( formerly Mbegu Fund ) from the county government to boost their businesses.
Speaking during a public function held in Malanga village in Malindi sub county, Sokoke Ward Member of County Assembly ( MCA ) Thaura Mweni said the loans do not have any interest.
He stated that the traders should form groups to qualify for the loans.
“Wezesha fund is a revolving fund which can also be offered to individuals too.
“The county government introduced the Fund to enable small scale business communities access credit to boost their activities,” explained the MCA.
Thaura urged the traders to use the loans received for the intended purposes only.
“Strive to repay your loans promptly to enable others to also benefit from the same loan products.” He said.
