Uasin Gishu county government Department of Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development in conjunction with Noble Sacco donated branded umbrellas to 14 boda boda Saccos operating within Eldoret CBD.
Speaking during the event, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Chief Officer Ruth Samoei called on the Sacco leaders to ensure members put on reflector jackets with their Sacco names.
She challenged the riders to maintain their motorbikes to attract customers, further revealing that
her docket is working on a plan that will soon see the best managed and organized Saccos awarded.
She urged the general public to join Saccos because of their immense benefits in the lives of their
members.
Cooperatives Officer Shadrack Rotich noted that once approved by the department, new stages will soon be operational.
He urged all riders who haven’t paid their monthly motorbike stickers to do so.
Drucilla Cherogony challenged Sacco leaders to observe integrity when handling members’ funds.
