Deputy Chief Justice advises Sacco members to shun taking huge loans

Sheria Sacco chairperson Deputy Chief Justice (DCJ) Philomena Mwilu has asked Sacco members to shun taking huge loans which outstretched their budgets and took decades to settle them.

“Avoid long term and high interest loans. It is not too late to save for your retirement” Mwilu noted.

The DCJ, accompanied by Chief Registrar, Winfridah Boyani and Deputy Chief Registrar, Paul Ndemo spoke recently at Kamel Park hotel during Heads of Station Forum.

She appealed to judicial officers to save for their retirement, noting she has invested in mango, dairy farming and saves her money in the Sacco.

Sheria Sacco Society Ltd was formally registered in 1972 and it has witnessed a growing membership pooled from the Judiciary, AG chambers, various Government Ministries, Business persons and anyone above the age of 18 years with an income.
