An estimated 4,000 people attended the two-day Kitui County Investors Sensitisation Forum, which took place on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14, 2025. The event was held at the Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Park (KCAIP), located in the Kanyonyoo Location of the Lower Yatta District in Kitui County.

Officially opened by Kitui County Governor, Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, on Thursday, March 13, the event’s theme was “Showcasing Kitui’s Investment Opportunities.” Governor Malombe, the event’s chief guest, also officially closed the forum on Friday, March 14, 2025.

The forum was organized by the Kitui County Government in partnership with several key stakeholders, including the Kenyan Government, KenInvest, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Univision DT Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited, the Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency, and Bestrock Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited, among others. The event drew attendees from various parts of Kenya, reflecting the growing interest in Kitui’s investment potential.

In his opening speech, Governor Malombe expressed his pleasure in welcoming attendees to the forum. He stated, “It is with great honor that I welcome you to the Kitui Investors Sensitisation Forum at the Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Park (KCAIP) grounds, Kanyonyoo.”

He emphasized that the event’s purpose was to sensitize medium, small, and micro enterprises (SMEs), as well as investors, about the investment potential in Kitui County.
