Tana River County has emerged among the top performers at the ongoing Mombasa International Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show 2026, scooping four awards in recognition of its agricultural and livestock achievements.
The county was named Best County Stand and first runners-up in Best County Department Stand, while also winning top honours as the county with the most points in cereals and the county with the most points in livestock products.
The trophies were presented by CS for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mutahi Kagwe, who attended the event as Chief Guest representing President William Ruto.

Chief Officer for Agriculture Faith Buya received the trophies on behalf of Tana River County during a colourful ceremony at the show.
The county’s most recent haul, the awards for most points in cereals and most points in livestock products, adds to its earlier wins for Best County Stand and Best County Department Stand, cementing its strong showing at this year’s event.
The recognitions highlight Tana River’s growing investment in agricultural productivity and livestock development, areas the county government has prioritised as key drivers of food security and household incomes.
