- Biashara DT Sacco members are set to meet in Nyeri for a special sitting
- The 2027 budget will be among the key items on the agenda
- Members will also take part in a Supervisory Committee election
Biashara DT Sacco Society Ltd has called a Special General Meeting for October 9, 2026, bringing members together to consider the Sacco’s proposed 2027 budget and elect a member to the Supervisory Committee.
The meeting will be held at St. Peters A.C.K. Cathedral Hall in Nyeri from 10 a.m. This is according to a notice issued by Sacco Secretary Jane Mathenge.
The main agenda will include the presentation and approval of the 2027 budget. This will be followed by the election of a Supervisory Committee member.
In addition, members will have an opportunity to raise other matters under Any Other Business (AOB). However, the Sacco has directed members wishing to present matters under this item to submit them at the Sacco office at least seven days before the meeting.
The Special General Meeting has been convened pursuant to By Law No. 35 and 36. The notice is addressed to all active members.
Ultimately, the meeting will give members an opportunity to participate directly in key financial and governance decisions. These include consideration of the Sacco’s spending plans for 2027 and the election of a member to its oversight structure.
