The Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO) Limited has advertised 42 properties for public auction across the country as the troubled cooperative umbrella body undergoes liquidation.

An auction notice issued on October 28, 2026, lists vacant plots, residential houses, maisonettes, rental apartment blocks and commercial buildings in 12 counties. These include Nairobi, Kajiado, Kiambu, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Machakos and Siaya.

The properties will be auctioned in three phases in November. The first sale is scheduled for November 11, 2026, at Watts Auctions offices on the ninth floor of View Park Towers in Nairobi. It will cover properties in Nairobi, Central Kenya, Kajiado and the Mount Kenya region.

Among the properties listed are vacant plots in Kitengela, Kisaju, Ngong and Olturoto in Kajiado County, as well as residential property in Nairobi’s Kileleshwa area. A motor vehicle workshop in Kisii, a three-bedroom bungalow in Nakuru, rental residential buildings in Kisumu and Bungoma, and commercial premises in Mombasa also feature on the list.

Some of the properties are incomplete developments. They include a residential building in Bombolulu, Mombasa, reported to be 30 per cent complete, and a commercial block near Katito Trading Centre in Kisumu, which is 40 per cent complete.

To help prospective buyers identify the assets before participating, the notice provides property descriptions, land reference numbers, locations and directions.

Meanwhile, the planned sales come as KUSCCO undergoes liquidation following financial difficulties and disputes over its outstanding obligations. The liquidation process involves the management of the organisation’s assets and liabilities.

Prospective bidders are advised to obtain the full auction notice and confirm the applicable conditions, property details and payment requirements with the auctioneers before making any bids.
