Amica Sacco rolls out ICT money transfer platforms

Amica Savings and Credit Society, one of the fastest growing Saccos, has urged its customers to embrace emerging technologies and transact their business on the Sacco’s ICT money transfer platforms for their convenience.
Amica Sacco’s management calls on its clients to take up technology based alternative channels to access quick services, without wasting valuable time going for them at banking halls.
Addressing members during Amica Sacco’s 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Chairman, Mr Hiram Mwaniki  implored the members to appreciate the new technology driven financial transaction platforms, saying: “they are the future on which banking business will be provided.”
He told the delegates that the Sacco’s Amicash channel introduced recently, handled transactions amounting to Sh 4.3 million while Mpesa platform transacted 2.9 million in the year, under review.
Mwaniki disclosed that the Sacco has halted opening new physical branches and will instead focus on promoting Agency banking to serve the clients better.
He explained that the Sacco agency model will be encouraged since it has high impact on service delivery, access and convenience to the clients without time limitation.
