Cooperatives and MSMEs Development CS Simon Chelugui

The Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives Simon Chelugui has led the Coffee Cherry Advance Revolving Fund (CCARF) sensitization and distribution campaign in Kiambu, Nyeri, Kirinyaga and Murang’a Counties.

According to Chelugui, the Kenya Kwanza administration has initiated key administrative and legislative reforms geared towards restoring the coffee sector to its full glory.

“Coffee is one of the key value chains that the government is targeting to spur growth through the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA),” he said.

He added that his ministry will work closely in partnership with the county governments and other stakeholders in the sector to ensure that the government’s vision is realized.
