Saccos in Kwale County have been urged to comply with SASRA rules and regulations to enhance efficiency.
Speaking during Tabasamu Sacco in Kwale County, Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Kwale Cultural Centre recently, Kwale County Cooperative Commissioner, Ms Levina Lenjo advised Saccos offering Front Office Banking Services (FOSA) in the region to ensure they are registered with SASRA to avoid being banned from offering such services in future.
“SASRA is mandated to issue operating licences to Saccos offering FOSA services in the country and its regulations must be adhered to,” she observed.
She urged Saccos in the area to conduct education seminars for its members.
The Commissioner urged youth and women in the County to co-operate and form Saccos to boost their economic status.
