Mafanikio Sacco, formerly Mombasa Teachers Sacco Ltd has officially opened a branch in Ukunda town, Kwale County.
The Ukunda branch situated at Arusha Plaza along the Likoni-Lunga Lunga road aims to bring services closer to the residents. Initially, residents of the county travelled long distances to Mombasa town to access Mafanikio Sacco services. However, with the opening of the branch the services have now been brought to their doorsteps.
The branch opened its doors to members of the public in September last year and currently has over 200 members.
Speaking during the official launch of the branch in Ukunda town, the Sacco Chairman, Jonah Mutuku said the Sacco was established on May 11, 1976, with only 100 members.
