Kwale County Government will continue to support Saccos’ growth in the region, Kwale County Government, Cooperative Development and Industrialisation Ministry Chief Officer, Ramadhani Bungale (pictured) has said.
Speaking during Tabasamu Sacco, Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Kwale Cultural Centre recently, Bungale said Saccos are the backbone of the country’s economy.
He urged Sacco members to increase their savings so that they could get bigger loans to enable them to accomplish their personal developments.
“Saccos play an important role in uplifting living standards of Kenyans,” he said, adding that Kwale County Government gave Tabasamu Sacco Sh1 million to be used as a revolving fund to boost its activities.
