Ebusia Unity Sacco Ltd held elections for the Board of Management during the inaugural AGM held at Busia Agricultural Training Centre.
Former Member of County Assembly for Namboboto/Nambuku Ward Hon Vincent Olumbe was elected chairman as Ashley Oundo, Nick Ajuma and Liz Wafula were elected vice chairperson, Secretary and treasurer respectively.
Other board members elected were Irene Maloba, Risapaa Moraa, Meshack Tumaini and John Oganga.
CPA Victor Juma Okado was elected chairman of the supervisory committee with Joan Kwena as secretary and Alex Wanjala as a member.
The elections were presided over by Matayos sub county Cooperative Officer Zebedee Lusimbo who said the chairman, vice chair and supervisory committee chair will serve for a term of three years.
The treasurer will be subjected to re-election after two years.
Speaking during the event, Sacco chairman pledged to discharge his duties with dedication.
Members fixed the ceiling on the maximum borrowing power of the society at Ksh20 million.
