Kakamega county joins fight against climate change

Kakamega county Governor Fernandes Barasa has revealed that the county has set aside funds to mitigate climate change.

The governor said the county was the first to develop a climate change plan to improve waste management, agriculture and water and urged all stakeholders led by activist Jeremiah Sejero and former MP aspirant Lukas Radoli to be on the forefront of educating people about climate change.

First lady Janet Barasa advised residents to plant trees to increase the region’s forest cover and help fight climate change.
