Elburgon dairy farmers form Sacco

Elburgon dairy farmers have formed a new Sacco in the name Elburgon Maendeleo Sacco to help them save and borrow to improve their financial status.

Its chairman Johnson Sang said that their aim is to create an avenue for members to save towards boosting their financial standing.

Speaking in his office in Elburgon town, Sang urged more dairy farmers within Elburgon in Molo Sub-county to join the Sacco and make it stronger.

He thanked the sub-county Cooperative Officer Haron Muraya for sensitizing locals on the benefits of being members of a Sacco.

Muraya urged the newly elected committee and all members to adhere to the laws governing the Sacco.

Committee officials to steer the Sacco are Johnson Sang (chairman), Mary Mbatia (vice chairperson), James Kirubi (honorary secretary), and David Lang’at (Treasurer).

Members are Rose Kipnai, Brastone Maina and Esther Lang’at.
