Fortune Sacco football team promoted to National Super League.

Fortune Sacco Football Club beat Michael Olunga Foundation, MOFA, 3-0 to earn a slot in next season’s National Super League (NSL). The play off took place on Saturday, May 18 at Dandora Stadium, Nairobi.

The two teams scooped position two in their respective Division One zones.

Fortune Sacco, based in Kirinyaga now joins APS Bomet and 3K FC which were winners of their Zone and Zone B respectively.

Elias Murage scored first goal for Fortune into through a spot kick. In the second half Jacob Wangui and Mark Epaa in 79 and 81 scored to help Fortune make to the second tier league.

Simon Otimong, Fortune Sacco head coach said, ‘’MOFA was a good time highly technical side but we stuck to our strategy, which worked well today.’’

Team Captain Elias Mugane hailed his teammates for never-die attitude.

‘’It gives us morale to get to NSL, remember we had gotten up to KPL but things happened and now that we are here I hope we do well in our first season and go up,’’ he added.
